Can you believe that 2022 is coming to an end?
While we started our biennium halfway through the year, I have to say that the work we have already put in has been amazing. I ask that you take this time to reflect on what has been most meaningful to you and see how your time, energy and commitment truly makes a difference for women and girls in your local communities and around the world.
One of my highlights this biennium is rekindling the ZONTA Spirit. The feeling of fellowship I felt at the 2022 ZONTA International Convention has carried me through this year. It was also further fueled during my recent visit to Australia where I met with the 2024 Convention Committee. I cannot wait to share beautiful Brisbane with you and encourage you all to mark your calendars for our next convention, 27-30 June 2024.
Another highlight was seeing how much influence our clubs have within their communities. Every single person who has come in contact with a ZONTA club and member comes away being better educated and aware of the issues women and girls face around this world. Below you will see how your impact makes a difference through the “ZONTA Says NO to Violence Against Women”-campaign and your generosity during the “Every Member Every November”- campaign.
As we close out 2022, I want to thank you for all the work you do for ZONTA and for women and girls worldwide. I wish you and your families a meaningful holiday season and a wonderful, healthy start to this upcoming year. As you think about those around you, I encourage each of you to be present in this season of giving. Simple gifts could make a world of difference for the beneficiaries of our projects. I look forward to seeing us continue to work together to build a better world for women and girls in 2023.
